The Definitive Guide. JavaScript reference at it’s best. There probably isn’t much about JavaScript that’s not covered here. It might be a bit intimidating for newbies but it is well worth the effort! It looks back on a long history (first edition: 1996) and has grown with JavaScript over the years. “The Bible of JavaScript” is well worth the investment, if you don’t have it already.
This new edition (6. edition, June 2011) takes into account recent development (HTML5, JQuery, server side JavaScript) and a lot of chapters have been rewritten.
